Are there any internet-based jobs that are offered/posted in this forum?

I am always in need of one as I am a freelancer and I still have lots of extra time in my hands.  However, I want to stay at home.

It's always hard, trying to find good, legit internet-based jobs for work home moms and their ilk.  Sadly, however, most of them are gimmicks and require you to pay money.  That's always so frustrating!

You're right, anarch.  I have gotten used to these kinds of sites that make you spend and then you get nothing from it after you have paid.  Right now, I am always applying at Craigslist and I am already very familiar with spam posts because I always see the similarity.  There are still good job ads at craigslist that come from genuine employers, though.

Ahhh now there's a good topic to get started.  "How to recognize Craigslist spam and how to avoid it!" hehe.  It's just sad because, for many, it doesn't seem like there's any other options out there.  The good jobs really don't advertise well.

There are numerous amounts of job that you can work at home. ITs just all about you sitting down and committing to finding them. You have to take the time out to look and seek. I have friends that actually do these jobs from home.

I think the best way to find work on th einternet might be to advertise your product or services instead of looking for jobs or gigs that are advertised by others.  This way you have more control and probably get more work.

I have noticed that it is hard to find legit internet jobs. A lot of them are scams.

I have actually been making an okay amount of money online just completing surveys etc.. In fact, I just opened my own website for doing just that. I would love it if you all checked it out ... http://www.buck-fever.com and give me some feedback on what you like and dont like. I am also looking for some freelance writing.. Please help me out if you can by giving me some sites to get started on! Thanks!

I think having a at home job using the internet would be so very nice.  I just think it is awfully hard to weed through them and making sure they aren't scams.  I like to check with the BBB as well just to be sure when one looks legit.

I am very suspicious of jobs that sound too good to be true.  I have been ripped off before.  A website that claimed one thing and did another.   I wasted my money.  I not believeing them anymore.

Cassie, I have heard of Absolute Content for writing jobs.  I am not sure if I have posted some writing jobs links in the "Writing" section of this forum.

You  should check out the writing forum for a lot of good information and resources on where to find legit writing jobs.  Also aramathea has posted some personal experience on what she has been paid and it looks like Associated Content pays pretty well.

I've discovered a new site that looks very legit & very helpful - apparently written up on CNN, Yahoo, The NY Times & a dozen others - it has user ranked reviews of so called "money making oppotunities on the Net:

Work at Home Watchdog - Work from Home Consumer Protection
http://www.wahwatchdog.org/

Some examples:

1Instant Money Vault18,875A- 2The Rich Jerk17,439C6Freebay13,303B+ 7Survey Scout12,501A- 8Project Payday11,298B+11Work at Home Manifesto10,425A-
63Highest Pay Surveys1,829F
Well, you get the idea.... There are about 148 of these listed on the front page. Many of them are A's so I think it might be good hunting for anyone looking for this kind of work. Also ( Products that do not receive at least 250 votes within 30 days of being listed are automatically removed from the database.)
If you give any of these a try, please get back to us with your feedback and I will do the same.
