There are a lot of customer service positions out there. I think you have to be one with a lot of patience and understanding to be in these positions.

If a good company has a good customer service policy and stands behind its product and services, it probably does not take as much patience as if one works for a company which has to fend off many customer complaints.

That is true. My experience from working say in call center for example was needing to have patience. I should have specified there.

The call center experience I had was a few years ago, but I learned the UPS customer service is excellent. The call center was run by another company. They were the opposite: controlling, paid too little, and no manager support.

| I always enjoyed customer service positions. However, I was not fond of call centers, I'm much more of a face to face person. I loved the idea that I could be friendly and kind to a stranger and possibly infect them with the same so could spread through out the day. Amazing what little acts of kindness can do.

The call center is not for me either. I am much more a face to face person. The call center my least favorite of the customer service jobs I had.
