Usually, if we're working in an office, we adjust to our superiors and our colleagues as well. I am just lucky that even if my boss is so monitoring, he's so understanding and he listens to our problems so it compensates.
What about you? How's your relationship with your boss?

My last boss was fabulous.... It was the perfect job for me and he was wonderful. I miss it.

My boss isn't the greatest person on the world. He actually is an "something." I have diabeties so he doesn't relaly take to kindly to that at all. I need to have my snacks every certain hour but he argues about it. I wish I had a better boss because it would make my work day so much better.

I'm still waiting for a great boss. I'd settle for a pretty good boss.
Unfortunately, in nursing, your bosses are nurses -- who aren't by nature or training "management types". You can't really have a non-nurse for a manager, because they have no idea what nursing is all about.
I guess as long as I stay in nursing the best I can hope for is a boss that I don't hate.
