I have worked in different kinds of offices for more than twenty years and if one doesn't work hard, one stagnates.  It wasn't my type to stay in a job without learning for more so I shifted to other careers such as teaching and now, being an internet freelancer.

What about you, do you enjoy working in an office?

I have worked in a few offices before but never for more than a year.  Personally, I find sitting in an office difficult.  If I have to sit at a desk I tend to fall asleep after a short while.  I tend to daydream about other things and don't get much work done.

I have found that I work better at a job where I'm up and moving.  As long as I'm up, moving around I tend to do better.  It's also good for me to have people contact but not with the same people all the time (I get bored).

Anybody else have this problem or am I just wierd?  LOL

I work in an office right now. It is steady work and keeps me busy so I cannot complain there.

No, you're not weird at all. I've worked in an office environment several times and I have the same problem with sitting at a desk all day and staring at a computer screen. I'm distracted and can't seem to focus. What's weird is I enjoyed being an office file clerk better than the supervisory position. At least as an office clerk I was running around, doing things as opposed to sitting and working the computer.

That's seems very normal, because if you stare at the screen long enoough you get dizzy!  Ha!  I will go to the supply room and get things I need.  I redid my card file.
